FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:  What are The Barnabas House office hours?

A:  Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Central Standard time, Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday. Our office is closed on Sunday. We have a small staff, so please DO leave a message if we are unable to answer your call immediately. 

 

Q: Is breakfast included and where is it served? Can I cook my own food?

A:  A home cooked, gourmet breakfast is included each day of your stay. Breakfast is served daily at 9:00, 9:30 & 10:00 a.m.,  in our lovely breakfast room located in the bistro on the main floor. Please let us know by the early evening prior if you will NOT be joining us for breakfast. We are unable to offer in-room breakfast service.  Breakfast is available for in-house guests only. 

 

Q:  May I eat earlier or later?

A:  Yes, a grab and go breakfast is available at any time at the breakfast bar.

 

Q:  Do you serve lunch or dinner?

A:  Although we don’t serve lunch or dinner, we are happy to give you restaurant recommendations.

 

Q:  Does the Barnabas House B&B provide airport pick up/drop off?

A:  The Barnabas House does not provide any airport transportation.  We will gladly recommend a local taxi company. We highly recommend renting a vehicle during your stay if you plan to explore the Ozarks.  

 

Q:  Are there laundry facilities on property?

A:  We do have guest laundry facilities on property.

 

Q:  When is check-in/ check-out?

A:  Check-in is anytime after 3:00 p.m.  We are unable to guarantee early check-in.  If you arrive before 3:00 p.m. and your room are not available, we will hold your luggage and have it placed in the room when it is ready.  Checkout is by 11:00 a.m.  We are not able to accommodate late checkout at this time. We are also not able to store luggage. You may make arrangements directly with “Extra Space Storage” (near the airport) for temporary luggage storage. Q:  Do you have rooms that can accommodate more than two (2) people?

A:  We have 7 rooms with queen or king beds. We have 4 rooms with 2 single beds.

 

Q:  What are you located near? Do you have views?

A:  We're located very close to the Branson Landing (it's about a 4 miles/5 minutes away), but our facility has the quiet privacy of being surrounded by woods on three sides. We're located down the road about one block from Kanakuk Kamps (K1 camp) – You can see Lake Taneycomo from our courtyard. Boat access is ½ mile down the road. Table Rock Lake is about a 20-minute drive.

Q:  What visitor attractions are near you?

A:  Outside of the Branson Landing, most visitor attractions are within five to 25 minutes’ drive time from the Barnabas House.

 

Q:  Is there a pool or jacuzzi on the property?

A:  We do not have a pool or jacuzzi on property.  

 

Q:  Is parking available on property and is there a fee?

A:  Free parking on property is available.  Space is limited to one parking stall per room.

 

Q:  Do you have a refrigerator and microwave? Do you have kitchen facilities for guest use?

A:  A large refrigerator, Keurig Coffee maker and microwave, located in the common breakfast area, is available for all guests use.  We do not have in-room refrigerators or kitchenettes. We do have custom-kitchen and cooking facilities available for guest use upon request. We have a large gas grill outside as well.

 

Q:  Do all rooms have private bathrooms?

A:  8 guest rooms have their own private bathrooms.

 

Q:  Do guest rooms have air-conditioning?

A:  Yes, guest rooms have air conditioning.  

 

Q:  Can I turn on/off the air-conditioning?

A:  Yes, the temperature can be controlled and the air conditioning can be turned on and off in most rooms. Please let the staff know, so they can help adjust. 

 

Q:  Do you have internet access?

A:  Yes, we have free WIFI in all rooms and property-wide.

 

Q:  What amenities does my room have?

A:  All private guest rooms have bath products. We are also happy to provide you with access to  a hairdryer, iron/board, coffeemaker upon request. Guests may utilize Barnabas House TVs and phones during their stay in the common areas. Local calls are free of charge.  A calling card is required for all long distance calls.  

 

Q:  What is the else is on the upstairs guest room floor?

A:  We have an area to watch a large screen television or play board games.

 

Q. What is available on the ground floor? 

A. We have three relax or reading areas. 

Q. What else is there to do on-site?

A. We have an 18 acre site that has a basketball court, sand volleyball court, tether ball courts, hiking trail.

Q:  Do I need a credit card to make a reservation?

A:  Yes, a credit card (Visa, Discover, MasterCard, or American Express) is required to secure all room reservations.  A payment by check may be made but must be received prior to the specified due dates (advance payment/cancellation fee and remaining to balance due dates) to prevent automatic charges to your credit card.

 

Q:  What if I need to cancel my reservation?

A:  You will receive a full refund if cancelled at least 6 days before your scheduled stay.  If cancelled within 5 days you will be charged your first night cost.  If cancelled same day, you will be charged the full amount.
